Question : Exchange 2003 willnot allow the name to be resolved for 1 certain user.

I have a server running MS SBS2003 including MS Exchange 2003. All of the users but one have email that works flawlessly. All users are running XP Pro. On the system in question, when I attempt to configure Outlook 2003. I get the following error message: "The name could not be resolved.  The name could not be matched to a name in the address list." Now, if I try to configure outlook with a different user name (on the same system) it works just fine. I began working from the premise that the user account was somehow flawed. I deleted the user and created a new user using a different user name. I had the same issue. Any ideas would be welcomed. The server was built a few months ago, and worked fine for the user in question for quite a while, then suddenly the user stopped receiving email. I tried resetting the outlook email configuration and then tried to reset the outlook / Exchange configuration. That is where I ran in to the problem where the name could not be resolved. To through one more wrench in to the works...When I configure outlook using a diiferent user, outlook configures fine and email can be sent, however the new user configuration can not received email on the system in question now. Is this a system problem or an exchange / server problem? I hate to rush into a reload of the system if this is a server issue.

Answer : Exchange 2003 willnot allow the name to be resolved for 1 certain user.

9097 error is WMI corruption. While the error code isn't exact, try the fix in this article.
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=288590

The 1009 error code seems to indicate a permissions issue. That would explain why RUS doesn't work correctly.
If it wasn't SBS then I would suggest running forest prep and domain prep again. That may still work though.

The other thing I would check is what account the Exchange services are using. It should be the "local system" account. Verify that as well.

Simon.
