Question : nested email distribution groups

Is there a way to nest security/distribution groups in Exchange so that for example all staff members are in departmental groups but the whole company distribution group just contains the department groups?

It seems I can add groups within another but the email addresses don't filter through. Any way I can get around this?

Answer : nested email distribution groups

Mail enabled security groups will do that for you.
Whether you can nest them or not depends on whether they were created as Global or Universal. Looking at the site I am on now, shows that if the security group is global then I can nest it in another group of the same type.
