Question : System restore

I just went to do a restore on a Windows XP SP2 PC and found that it showed 2 different types of restore points in System Restore.  One says "System Checkpoint" and one says "Windows Defender Checkpoint".  How are these different?  Can they be used interchangeably?

Thanks.

Answer : System restore

Ya, Defender checkpoint is that same thing as a System Checkpoint. Just the difference is that  they are of different dates. When restored Defender check point will restore the system as  the date before the Defender was installed and the System Checkpoint will restore the system as the date it was created.
