Question : vCenter Error - Validation not applicable this time- in migrating clone into different ESXi server

Hi All,

Yes I'm having problem of "Validation not applicable this time" when I'm about to convert my template into a VM as I want to migrate the Template to the other server.

The Template is in ESXi 3.5u4 and ultimately I'm about to migrate it to ESXi 4 server but I can't do it due to the limitation of what template can do :-| CMIIW

I'm connecting from vSphere Client into my vCenter Server 4.0 to manage my both ESXi servers.

Any idea please ?

I haven't touched the templates on vSphere yet but you may want to copy them over to the vSphere datastore using the datastore browser and then register the template with vSphere.  You should also convert to a VM so that you can upgrade the vmware tools before deployment
