Question : Windows Server 2003 display settings
When i install server 2003 with my 15in lcd monitor attached, the video settings never display correctly on the monitor. I can connect a CRT monitor and the picture will display fine.
If you insert the switch /basevideo in the boot.ini file, the display will work fine. I then change the resolution back to 1024x768 and it works fine. Until I reboot, the picture will not display on the lcd monitor.
I dont want to change the display settings everytime i reboot the server by having the /basevideo switch in the boot.ini file.
Does anyone know what settings make server 2003 not display correctly on an lcd monitor?
Answer : Windows Server 2003 display settings
Just as a troubleshooting step, I would reinstall the video driver with the same driver or if a newer driver is available, use that one.
