Question : Send Outbound Mail through multiple Send Connectors based on sender address
We host multiple domains on our Exchange 2007 system and have been asked if for some of the domains we can send out through a smart host. Is it possible to create multiple Send Connectors that would be used based on the sender's domain? An example might be as listed below...
[email protected]
-> Internet Send Connector -> Recipient
[email protected]
-> Forwarding Send Connector -> Smarthost -> Recipient
If so, how would I configure the Send connectors to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Jay
Answer : Send Outbound Mail through multiple Send Connectors based on sender address
Hi Jay,
I'm afraid the answer is "not with Exchange".
SMTP connectors are only capable of filtering on recipient domain.
Transport rules are fairly capable, unfortunately they don't extend quite as far as this.
