Question : alternative FLA compiler

Just a quick question.
My company have a .FLA file which they need to compile into a swf.
They do not have a copy of FLASH and are not willing to shell out $700 on a copy as they only need to compile .FLAs occasionally.
Are there any alternatives to flash that can compile FLAs ?

Answer : alternative FLA compiler

.FLA is proprietary and the rights belong to Adobe.  There should be no other legal products that can do that.  On the other hand, if you are just wanting to create a SWF file there are several options, and I believe SWISH is the most common.
