Question : Download Link

I need to provide a facility for users of a site to be able to click an icon that will download to their desktop and when clicked from the desktop link the user to an approriate site and page.

I know that the user will need to choose where they save the icon to on their machine ie the desktop. But want some suggestions on the best way to provide this function. A working example would be great.

The script I provided earlier will work with IE.

This should work with bot.



As far as the Flash bit, I suppose you can I don't see why not. however I am not fluent in Flash so can't tell you how.
