Question : Totalling a Row Group on a Matrix report in Reporting Services (SSRS)
|
|
I am trying to add a total to the bottom of a matrix report. My report looks like this...
VALUE1 VALUE2 VALUE3 127 178 2 1 Area1 83 36 47 0 2 Area2 8 2 6 0 3 Area3 15 7 7 1 4 Area4 19 11 8 0 5 Area5 24 6 18 0 6 Area6 53 22 31 0 7 Area7 71 29 41 1 8 Area8 34 14 20 0
I did get a total row just below the column grouping labels (VALUE1, VALUE2...) but I need to total the third column (starts with number 83).
Also is there anyway to move the "total" row to the bottom of the matrix?

I've not found a way of adding a row to the bottom of a matrix. however, you can add a seperate matrix below your existing one, and set the row grouping to =1, so that all records are totalled in a single row.
It will line up with your existing matrix, and will look like it is a genuine matrix footer.
However, it will only work if you are using sum, count or avg. If each matrix cell is a max or min then this won't work (depending on what you want your total row to show)
