Question : was 5.1.2 admin console not opening on Win 2000 Professional

Hi Folks, I got the following error when starting the server was 5.1.2 on win 2000 professional. However i edited the serverindex.xml and changed the port no from 8880 to 8885 and then the server started successfully without errors. But when i type http://localhost:9090/admin, the console doesnt open up.
Any ideas on this is greatly appreciated. Also when i click the admin console link in the " First Steps" , nothing opens up. Do you think i need to change the admin port no too?

My bad ... I was thinking 4.x ... I don't think there's a separate admin service for 5.x. I might suggest reinstalling your WAS. Uninstall, wipe, check your services file (c:\windows\etc\services) for that port.
I think in 5.x the admin service is just a separate application.
